Heating Electrical Stations (HES) of Astana
Astana Office of Energy SI is responsible for the reliable and uninterrupted supply of heat and electric power of Astana. Today, the capital has three HES.
In the late December 1961 Akmola HES-1 was commissioned along with the startup of the first turbine and the first boiler. This fact has become a truly historic one for the regional center of the Virgin Territory, which has since started straight path of industrialization and public social welfare improvement.
Construction of the 1st stage of HES-2 was started in 1972 and completed in 1985. On April 22, 1972, on the day of the Communist Subbotnik, a light-stele for the location of the future HES-2 was launched.
Tselinograd HES-2 is located in the northern industrial area of the city.
The existing HES-1 and HES-2 power sources modernization, as well as HES-3 construction have been continued in the capital to ensure reliability of electric power and heat supply in the city, as well as to cover the shortage in heat and electric power capacities.
The HES-3 construction has been scheduled for completion in 2018-2020.
We are also informing that it is required to obtain individual technical specifications to get connected to the central heat supply system.
According to the Regulations for the Heat Power Use approved by the Resolution No. 712 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 10, 2013, it is required to contact the operational organization – “Astana-Teplotranzit” JSC (Astana, 7 Zhansugurov Str., Tel: 77-12-02) – to obtain individual technical specifications for the heat supply.
