Alone with all: Leisure for elderly citizens provide the district Governor's offices
Every year in various districts of Astana opened mini-centers of leisure for pensioners. Yesterday, two more social clubs – «Baikonur» and «Bereke» were opened in the area of Baikonur, the media center of Astana akimat reports.
Mini-centers opened on Pushkin street, 15 and Chekhov, 12.
«Places of leisure for pensioners are equipped with necessary furniture and equipment. Elderly people can read periodicals here, play chess and other Board games, or just have a tea party,» said Alma, Deputy Chairman of the district Council of veterans of the Altybayeva district.
At the ceremonial opening was attended by the mayor of the district of Baikonur Erlan Kanalima and a representative of the city Council of veterans of Sansyzbai Yessilov.
It should be noted that these are not the first centers for the elderly operating in this area of the capital. To date, there are already 4 mini-leisure centers for pensioners and 56 veteran organizations. It is also planned to open two more mini-centers by the end of the year.
