Astana is the leader in the number of existing SMEs
According to the official website of capital akimat, there was a meeting with business representatives on the topic of social responsibility of entrepreneurship.
The meeting is a logical continuation of the measures to implement the tasks set by the Head of state in the Address to the people «Growth of welfare of Kazakhstan people: increase of income and quality of life».
«As the Head of state noted, the welfare of Kazakhstan depends primarily on the stable growth of income and quality of life. The conditions created in the capital for the formation of stable sources of business growth, promotion of private investment, active implementation of state programs on financing, provision of affordable loans for SMEs and other measures contribute to the growth of income, obtaining decent wages, to be able to open and develop their own business», - said deputy mayor of Astana Yermek Amanshayev.
The capital, which has become the financial, business, innovation and cultural center of the Eurasian space, in terms of the share of small and medium-sized businesses in GRP in the first half of the year occupies a leading position in the country. This figure is 58%. The volume of investments at the end of 2017 reached a record amount and amounted to 956.9 billion tenge. As of August 1, 2018, 156 341 small and medium-sized businesses are registered in the city. The number of operating SMEs as of October 1 was more than 107 units, which is more than the same period last year by 9.8%.
