The system of inclusive education is improved annually in Astana. Conditions are being created for a barrier-free educational environment, head of the city Department of education Anuar Zhangozin said on Friday in the Senate of the Parliament.

Last year, a special boarding school for 375 seats was opened, the number of correction rooms increased from 3 to 6. In 21 schools and 12 kindergartens work correctional classes.

«75% of educational institutions have all the necessary conditions for the implementation of inclusive education. Inclusive and remedial education we have covered more than 3 thousand children. However, there are more than 600 children who stand in line. Therefore, we are actively expanding the network of correction rooms», - said Zhangozin.

When opening new schools, he continued, it provides for the mandatory opening of classrooms for children in need of a special approach.
