White mosque, decorated in the traditional style, was opened in Astana
According to the official website of capital akimat, in the area of Almaty, the opening of the mosque on Mustafina street. It is characterized by a new format of construction of religious buildings.
The opening of the mosque was attended by the Chairman of the Spiritual Department of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme mufti Serikbay kazhi Satybaldyuly, who noted that the new mosque is a spiritual structure that will decorate the architectural appearance of the capital.
According to him, the mosque will become not only a place of worship of Muslims, but also a center of harmony, peace, a center of study of history, traditions, as well as a platform for strengthening interethnic and interreligious harmony.
The new mosque is called "Aq meshit" because it is completely lined with white marble. The uniqueness of the building is the number of minarets. There are four of them in classical mosques. According to the architects, the new mosque has two minarets, which consist of three different style sections. The building consists of two design structures – a madrasah for 75 seats and the mosque itself for 450 seats, which at the peak of visits can accommodate up to 1000 people. In the mosque are male and female prayer rooms, a room of marriage, room for reading the Koran, a restaurant and a room for washing the deceased (milkana).
The madrasah, which will function at the mosque, includes 9 classrooms, where classes will be held, and 28 rooms for students and teachers.
In addition, there is a library, a gym, a separate dining room, a medical center, a hairdresser and a Laundry. All that is not taken into account in any mosque in the country. In addition, madrasahs are created with one big goal – to use it as the main training center of spiritual education in Kazakhstan.
