Every element of state symbols reflects Kazakhstani history
Kazakhstan is celebrating National Symbols Day today. Prominent scholars and public officials told how they perceive the Flag, Emblem and Anthem of the state, official akimat site reports.
“I have been to various summits and conferences in many countries. I am always elated and proud to see the flag of Kazakhstan. It feels like meeting a compatriot, a close fellow in a foreign land at those moments,” said Marat Abssemet, Doctor of Historical Sciences.
Professor Dikhan Kamzabek, Doctor of Philological Sciences, pointed to the profound sacred meaning inherent to each state symbol of Kazakhstan.
“Each Kazakhstani citizen would stand up with a hand to their heart at hearing the very first notes of the anthem. All emblem elements are closely tied with the history of Kazakhstan, bearing profound meanings. The color of our flag symbolizes the peaceful sky, while the steppe eagle under it embodies valor and heroism of our people,” said doctor Kamzabek.
Ayt Nesipbek, a renowned poet and Director of Saken Seyfullin Museum, noted that National Symbols Day is a great holiday for any sovereign nation.
“We all remember the day when the flag, emblem and anthem of sovereign Kazakhstan were approved and adopted. Our national symbols raise patriotism and pride for the nation. The ornamental pattern on the flag symbolizes our history, values and culture,” added Orazkul Assangazy, a political and community leader.
June 4 is the National Symbols Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. National symbols reflect the continuity of the past, present and future of our state proclaiming the independence and sovereignty of the nation to the world. They convey the values, spirit of patriotism, heroism and wisdom of the nation along with its aspirations for bright future.
