The national prize "Urker" in the field of print, radio and Internet journalism this year will be played for the second time.

The main purpose of the award is to identify talented journalists and creative teams, to recognize their contribution to the development of professional journalism, to attract wide public attention to their work.

As participants can oppose journalists and editors of print media, Internet media or radio stations.

This year the national prize is awarded in 12 nominations. Among them are two special ones: "Best regional radio station" and " Best regional print edition".

The winners of each nomination will be awarded with  1 million tenge cash prize and memorable statuettes.

Applications are accepted until June 10 on the www.El.kz  website.
