According to the official website of the capital akimat , a ten – day horse crossing "Astana-the capital of the great steppe" started from the capital's family recreation center "Akbozat".

This year, the riders will make a 600-kilometer hike along the route Astana-buiratau-Bayanaul-Karkaraly on horseback. In total, the expedition traveled 10 riders. This people, focus on driving not the first year.

"Astana is developing, investments, new technologies are attracted to the city, but at the same time there is the spirit of the Kazakh steppe – and these are our horses. In our steppe for the first time the horse was tamed, so we decided to celebrate the anniversary of our city with such a campaign. First of all, this is a step in the development of domestic equestrian tourism, the second – we want to carry the spirit of the capital on the main part of the territory of Saryarka", – says the head of the expedition "Astana – the capital of the great steppe" Berik Akilbekov.

According to him, the horse route is already becoming traditional. The first campaign was held in 2016 in honor of the 25th anniversary of independence. This year the expedition is held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the capital in the framework of the program "Rouhani janiro".

The expedition route will pass through the territories of three regions: Akmola, Pavlodar, Karaganda, as well as three national parks – buiratau, Bayanaul and Karkaraly. The total length of the tour – 600 km Among the participants there are children under the age of 14 and two riders from Hungary.

"The Hungarians at one time found their present homeland as the only nomadic people who reached Europe on horseback. We rode up to the mountains and stayed there. Therefore, it is a great honor for me that Hungarians participate in this expedition, " explains Ambassador of Hungary to Kazakhstan Andras Barani.

This event is aimed at the education of Kazakhstan patriotism and strengthening of the historical role of the capital in the formation and development of independent Kazakhstan in the public consciousness of Kazakhstan.
