Astana residents can take the garbage and get a nominal fee for it
Today in the area of Baikonur there was a point of reception of secondary raw materials - Green Station. From now residents of the «smart» district can take waste paper, plastic, cellophane, glass and much more. According to the official website of capital akimat, prices, depending on the name of raw materials, vary from 3 to 100 tenge.
Part of the project «Smart city» - the reception point of secondary raw materials Green Station was opened today in Astana. The project is implemented by Astana Clean Time together with akimat of Baikonur district and JSC «Astana Innovations».
«Every resident of the city for a monetary reward can bring secondary raw materials to the receiving point. We are ready to accept 11 types of materials. You can take the waste paper, plastic, cellophane, glass and more. Prices, depending on the name, vary from 3 to 100 tenge. At the moment, more than 500 kg of waste is accepted in 9 city reception points of secondary raw materials», – said the General Director of Astana Clean Time Timur Ismagulov.
For example, for a kilogram of paper you can get 3 tenge, for the same weight of aluminum – 100 tenge. However, residents believe that revenues for the garbage – not the most important. The main thing is to contribute to the protection of the environment.
«Hearing that this item was opened in our district, we were very happy. After all, first of all, it is a contribution to the protection of nature. So I decided to show my children that waste can be recycled. Thus, the global problem of environmental pollution may eventually cease to be relevant. After all, everyone can follow the simple rules and for it also to penny», – says a resident of the district Camila Narymbetov.
It should be noted that by the end of the year in the «smart» district of Astana it is planned to establish 2 more such points of reception of secondary raw materials.
