According to the official website of capital akimat, one million tenge for the purchase of housing will be able to receive from the state health, education, police and social security workers.

To date, the issue of housing for public sector workers remains relevant in the capital of Kazakhstan, head of the city department of construction and housing policy Ruslan Akhmetov said.

«The mayor's office of Astana together with «Zhilstroisberbank» developed a program on the rules of social assistance for certain categories of citizens: health care, education, police and social security workers. This is done in order to create a body of qualified specialists of the city municipal services of the city», - said R. Akhmetov.

Currently, the number of such citizens is 37 102 people, 16 850 of them need housing. Given the low level of income, representatives of these categories are not able to accumulate sufficient funds for the purchase of housing.

«Within the framework of this program, employees of the above areas will receive social assistance – assistance for the purchase of housing – in the amount of 1 million tenge. This amount will be used to pay part of the down payment required to obtain a mortgage loan. This event will reduce the number of workers in need of housing in the above areas, as well as help to maintain a qualified personnel», – continued Akhmetov.

It should be noted that the waiting list consisting on the account of needing housing from municipal housing stock, can't use this program.

«The selection of applicants for this social benefit will be carried out by the employers themselves. Therefore, citizens do not need to collect documents, go to the PSC and so on. According to our estimates, by the end of the year about a hundred state employees will receive certificates for the purchase of housing», - Akhmetov concluded.
