Astana: focus on health management of citizens
Delegates and guests Of the global conference on primary health care took part in the marathon «Walk the Talk/from words to deeds».
The aim of the campaign is to support the Global movement to promote health for all, as well as to promote physical activity to increase life expectancy. The event was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of health and akimat of Astana.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of health of Kazakhstan elzhan Birtanov, akim of Astana Bakhyt Sultanov, director General of the world health organization Tedros Gebreyesus and UNICEF regional director for Europe and Central Asia Afshan Khan.
«Today Astana is a city that actively promotes the development of a healthy lifestyle. We are gradually implementing an initiative to improve the quality of life and access to public goods, which consists of 20 concrete steps. We must focus on disease prevention, changing the vector of development of the city's health system from disease management to health management. Action «Walt the Talk» is dedicated to the global conference «From Alma-Ata to universal health coverage and sustainable development», dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration of the who primary health care.
