Kazakh programmers will teach doctors to save lives through smartphones
According to the official website of capital akimat with reference to the Ministry of health of the Republic, in Astana started a hackathon to find creative and simple solutions in the field of health.
At the time of the first six hours of the first day of the hackathon, according to the organizers, the most promising are the solutions of the team from IITU (international University of information technology) and the team from NU (Nazarbayev University). The first team proposed monitoring of chronic diseases using data from any fitness bracelet, and the second team collected a device for measuring and transferring temperature during the transportation of sensitive medicines.
Participants sent their applications for participation in this it-marathon until October 14. 150 young IT-specialists gathered in the national Museum of Kazakhstan. Participants have 48 hours to develop concepts of IT solutions in the following popular areas in medicine of Kazakhstan: overweight and obesity; prevention and treatment of STIs, hepatitis, HIV (support to patients, adolescents and awareness raising); prevention of child injuries; remote monitoring of patients with chronic diseases; ensuring the delivery of vaccines in compliance with storage and transportation conditions (cold chain).
Foreign and domestic mentors work at the hackathon to support young professionals to assist in the development of IT solutions.
The event is held under the Youth4health brand with the support of the Ministry of health and UNICEF.
