Kazakhstan is gradually introducing a system of compulsory social health insurance. The CSHI package of services will be available to the public from 2020. There are several ways to determine social status. First, if a person works informally, he must conclude an employment contract with the employer. Persons registered as unemployed belong to the privileged category of citizens. Thus, they will be entitled to health insurance from the state.
