The number of three-shift schools has been reduced in Astana. If last year there were 11, this year there are five, said Friday in the Senate of Parliament head of the city Department of education Anuar Zhangozin.
At the same time, the Department of education plans to completely solve this problem in the next academic year.
«Next academic year we plan to solve this problem completely. In General, we see that in the next 5 years we need to cover about 120,000 new students with educational places, and this issue is being resolved through the construction of new public schools. This year we have already introduced 4 schools, and we plan to introduce another one by the end of the year. In parallel, the construction of 7 more schools and 6 extensions is being implemented, which will be put into operation next year, and the construction of 6 more schools and 4 extensions will begin next year», - Anuar Zhangozin said.
