3 dormitories will be built for employees of medical institutions of the capital
According to the official website of capital akimat, in the city there is a shortage of obstetricians, gynecologists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, resuscitators.
In Astana, the number of women of fertile age for 20 years has increased by 4.6 times, while the indicator of availability of obstetricians and gynecologists has increased by only 2.6 times, head of the public health Department Kamalzhan Nadyrov said at the round table dedicated to the theme «women's Health-the health of the nation».
«In 1998, 119 obstetricians and gynecologists worked in Astana, today this figure is about 320, an increase of 2.6 times. The number of women of fertile age for 20 years increased from 70 thousand in 1998 to 325 thousand this year, that is, the growth was 4.6 times. The staffing of obstetricians and gynecologists is 85% of the staffing. At the hospital level, the staffing of obstetricians and gynecologists is about 90%», - K. Nadyrov said.
Comprehensive measures are being taken by the office of public health to reduce staff shortages.
«One of the factors affecting the shortage of personnel is the lack of housing in the capital. To improve housing conditions, this year alone, 10 apartments were allocated for qualified obstetric care specialists, and three dormitories for 1,500 apartments are planned. Also, the issue of issuing housing certificates, which will make housing more affordable», - Nadyrov stressed.
Such certificates will be issued in December this year.
