Dispatchers of the capital's emergency room will improve their communication skills
According to the official website of capital akimat, emotionally difficult work of the dispatcher is estimated by the number of calls received in the short term.
As reported in city station of emergency medical service of Astana, schedule dispatchers «day-night-48». Calls to the dispatching ambulance service are accepted continuously for 24 hours.
«If today he worked 10 hours a day, tomorrow he comes in the evening for 14 hours and 48 hours on vacation. All of them have certificates of medical business – the paramedic or the nurse. These are medical workers of the highest and first categories. The most important thing-all of them have to work not less than three years in exit crew, and only after that we can employ them that they could by phone, without seeing the patient, differentiate his condition», – the acting chief physician of city station of an emergency medical service Gulnara Tuyakova tells.
She also noted the great psychological burden on dispatchers, so they have the right to 15-minute rest every hour.
«Even if the call lasts 30 seconds, the voltage is very high. Work at dispatchers emotionally very heavy, it is work with people who are in an alarming state. If suddenly someone from causing «fast» lose consciousness, our manager can master the panic. Therefore, we have started courses on communication skills and work with patients for dispatchers on Monday», - G. Tuyakova said.
Dispatchers will be monthly, quarterly and annually trained in communication skills to be able to instantly focus, navigate the situation and not to hurt emotionally neither the patient nor yourself.
