According to the official website of capital akimat , center for prevention and control of AIDS intends to introduce a new method of rapid testing to determine HIV status.

As the staff of the center noted, Kazakhstan is one of the first places in the low prevalence of HIV infection.

"Our testing is very high quality, our center guarantees the reliability of the results and the use of highly sensitive tests of the 4th generation. At least 10% of the population at risk should be screened annually. Now there is a pilot project-the definition of HIV status through saliva", - said the chief physician of the center for prevention and control of AIDS Sabit Abdraimov.

In the future, the Republican center together with the Ministry of health intends to implement a project that will allow for rapid testing of non-governmental organizations.

"That is, they will be carried out as rapid pregnancy tests, when each person will know his / her status", - Abdraimov said.
