Young artists with special needs staged "beauty and the beast" in the cinema hall of the Nazarbayev University.

The production is an adapted 40-minute version of the disney fairy tale with a large number of musical numbers. 25 teenage actors with different diagnoses took the stage: down syndrome, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder.

Volunteers helped young actors: schoolchildren, students and young professionals.

"There were 50 people on stage. Behind the scenes, children were helped to change clothes, make up, photographed and videotaped, operated with sound and light, the guests were met by more than 25 volunteers. More than 300 spectators gathered for the performance. We did not expect such interest. The musical was very bright and colorful. And after the performance, there was a queue to get the autographs of the actors, "the organizers said.

The inclusive school " KIT " exists a little more than a year, but it has already two projects: an inclusive theater and career guidance program. The inclusive theater has already staged two musicals in Astana and plans to go on tour next year.
