Laura Demesinova: it's time to rethink our origins
Executive Director of the public Association "Association of scholars of the international scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Bolashak" Laura Demesinova expressed her opinion about the program article of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev "Seven faces of the great steppe".
Our country has developed over the past 25 years economically and socially, and it is time for spiritual development. We've built new cities, we've built a whole new economy, and it's time to rethink our history, our culture, our origins.
Why the program "Rouhani zhangyru" and the article "Seven faces of the great steppe" are necessary right now? Because it's time to rethink our origins: where we come from, where the people living in Kazakhstan, and how we developed. The article "Seven faces of the great steppe" notes very important postulates: our spiritual and historical values. In general, I believe that people who do not know their origins, their roots, will not go further up.
I would also like to emphasize the timeliness of the article, especially for the younger generation of Kazakhstanis born in an independent country. They can learn more about their history. For example, I was most impressed by the lines about the city of Otyrar that we should create our own open-air Museum. I personally was at the excavations and I am sure that it will be a great impetus for the development of tourism. Children will be able to learn more about history by looking at the same city of Otyrar.
The article said that we should create our own brand. In principle, everyone already knows that Kazakhstan is the ancestral home of apples and tulips. And if we position ourselves correctly, it will also have a positive impact on the image of Kazakhstan on the world stage. I am already talking not only about the economic or social aspect, but also about the development of tourism.
