Meiramgul Altybasarova: “President promotes a new awareness of Kazakhstan in the international arena"
According to the official website of capital akimat, professor, candidate of political Sciences Meiramgul Altybasarova expressed an opinion about the program article of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev's "Seven sides of the great steppe".
- Today we need a positive view of our own history, which should be an integral part of the development of the global world. Modern achievements of our state, its level and world recognition would be impossible without its multifaceted past.
The Kazakh people have made and continue to make a huge contribution to the development of integration processes. Despite the relatively small number, the role of nomads in the history of Eurasia was large and multifaceted. If we take the political aspect, at least half of the Eurasian States are created by nomads, or with their active participation. Only closed cultures are deprived of the ability to influence the environment. And nomads in this respect were always extremely open.
Recent years have been marked by the increased interest of society in the distant past of our Fatherland, to the contribution that ancient peoples have made to the history of civilization, which helps our ethnic identity and the formation of historical consciousness. The great silk road today is of great importance not only in connection with the study of its rich historical and cultural heritage, but also in trying to solve geopolitical problems with its help. The restoration of the great silk road has become one of the most urgent tasks of our time, and Kazakhstan is actively involved in the implementation of this major international project.
Each nation, as well as each individual, has its own destiny, its own history. But world history must preserve in its memory the contribution of the people, who at any time enriched and created the basis for the further development and prosperity of human culture. It is safe to say that the modern world is rediscovering the Turkic Universe, which has had a positive impact on all other cultures and civilizations. If we want to be an independent state and want to build our statehood based on a long and decent perspective, we must understand the origins of our spirituality. It is about making the world know us not only by oil resources and major foreign policy initiatives, but also by our cultural achievements.
The global initiatives proposed by the Head of our state open up new opportunities for the further integration of all Turkic peoples, for the preservation of our common history and the implementation of joint projects in the future.
