There is no outbreak of measles in Astana
According to the official website of capital akimat, there is a seasonal increase in the incidence of measles among unvaccinated children in the capital, and there is no reason to talk about the outbreak.
Currently, 125 patients are on treatment with suspected measles in the city children's infectious diseases hospital; since November 169 children have been discharged, there are no complications, the diagnosis of measles in 130 children has been confirmed by laboratory.
"On average, 10-15 children are discharged per day after the course of treatment. In the children's city hospital or in other clinics of the capital there are no patients with suspected measles. The information posted from other persons is false", - the report of the Department of public health of Astana, posted on the social network Facebook, says.
According to the Agency's statistics, in 2014, 50 cases of measles were registered in Astana, in 2015 – 396, in 2016 – 6, in 2017-no cases were registered.
