The city administration for social development has set a goal-to make the final event of the year – "Astana Charity Grand ball" - a significant event for young people, which will leave vivid memories for a long time.
The organizers provided all debutants with ball gowns, costumes, as well as services of hairdressers and makeup artists.
"First of all, it is the ball of our active youth of the capital. Debutants of the ball took part not only in the preparation of the ball, but also in good deeds. They went to a nursing home, an orphanage, organized concert programs. The final conclusion of these events is that they will call all our young people to good deeds, volunteer activities to ensure that they actively participate in such charity events", – said the head of Astana office for social development Daniyar Yesin.
In the Banquet hall of the hotel "The Ritz-Carlton Astana" 150 debutantes opened the ball with a traditional Polonaise dance. Also in the program of the evening was the Viennese waltz, German and Finnish polka, a quadrille, and the Kazakh waltz."This project started exactly a month ago. The main goal is to support talented and creative youth. The youth ball is an indicator of the work of young people of different categories, United by one goal – to draw public attention to the development of creative potential, promotion of the volunteer movement. Young people of the capital themselves initiated charity events and on the eve of Independence day visited 150 poor families of Astana, provided them with financial assistance in the form of gifts", – said the head of the youth Department of Astana office for social development Bakytzhan Zhunisbekov.
The ball was preceded by serious preparation: within 20 days debutants studied difficult dancing movements. As noted by the organizers, there were many people wishing, but the most socially active representatives of the capital's youth passed the casting. Among them are students, cadets, hard of hearing young people, representatives of different professions: dentists, pharmacists, welders.
"I learned about the youth ball in Instagram. I had never participated in balls before, I was interested and decided to test myself in it. I was wondering if I could combine it with work. Preparation for the ball was very interesting. The main thing is that I met and became friends with 149 debutants", - Marat Alibek said.
Among the honored guests of the evening were pop stars, masters of sports, heads of youth organizations, representatives of creative youth, as well as donors who, thanks to their dedication and unselfishness were able to save the lives of others.
