Housing for medical workers will be built in Astana
According to the official website of capital akimat, for 20 years 287 thousand children were born in the capital.
A number of urgent measures have been taken to reduce maternal and infant mortality, including increasing the number of beds in urban hospitals, reducing the shortage of staff and improving the skills of service professionals.
"Taking into account the growth of the population of the capital, we have started the project of construction of a new maternity unit for 250 beds on the basis of the city hospital № 1. We also decided to increase the bed capacity in the multi-profile hospital № 2 from 185 to 220 beds", - Kamalzhan Nadyrov, head of the public health Department of Astana, said at the meeting of the city headquarters on the adoption of urgent measures to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
To reduce the shortage of personnel, Astana office of public health is working with the leading universities of the country. Within the framework of grant training the necessary specialists are trained.
"One of the factors affecting the shortage of personnel is the lack of housing in the capital. To improve housing conditions, this year alone, 11 apartments have been allocated for skilled birth attendants, and the construction of housing for medical workers is planned. Also worked out the issue of issuance of housing certificates, which will make housing more affordable", - K. Nadyrov added.
With the aim of training specialists of the obstetric service training of specialists: obstetrician-gynecologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, both within the country and abroad, issues of operative gynecology and effective perinatal technologies.
Mobile teams have been formed from among the experienced specialists. They consist of obstetricians and gynecologists, vascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, owning all kinds of surgical delivery and resuscitation of women in critical condition. In August, the Department established the city multi-profile hospital № 2 by combining the perinatal center № 1 and the city hospital № 2, which allowed to provide timely and quality assistance to women with complex extragenital pathology. Kamalian Nadirov noted that in recent years there is a trend of migration of pregnant women with severe extragenital pathologies of the 248 women, 34% were non-resident.
