From now until the end of epidemic, the mobile screening center operates from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the city hall official site reports.
The Covid-19 mobile sampling unit launched last week is in high demand among citizens according to Ivan Li, director of city multispecialty hospital No 2.
“Last Friday, 200 samples were taken, while on Saturday the number exceeded 200. However, our designed capacity is approximately 150 tests daily,” said Ivan Li.
Considering that, a decision was taken to set operating hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one-hour break. According to Li, the mobile unit has proven its efficiency as 14 out of 151 Saturday samples were positive for coronavirus infection.
As previously reported, coronavirus mobile screening was launched in Nur-Sultan on June 5. The lab operates on the premises of city multispecialty hospital No 2. The mobile unit is located in an area between Mega Silk Way Mall and hospital No2.
The procedure only takes 3 to 5 minutes. Samples are taken in a vehicle without standing in line, which makes the method convenient. The test costs KZT 10 thousand. Tested individuals fill out forms with personal information, epidemiological factors and symptoms.
Body temperature is measured with a contactless thermometer inside a car. The result is to be ready in six hours, and the patient can obtain it via email or WhatsApp messenger within 24 hours.
