Water supply ensured for a neighborhood in Nur-Sultan
Two public spaces are to open here as well, the city hall informs via its official website.
Today, the mayor observed the progress of works in Urker residential area.
“There is a so called Afghan Neighborhood (sector two construction) in the residential area, where the locals raised concerns about water supply, street lighting and road quality last year. This summer, all houses were connected to central water supply, the road was paved and the streets were lit. Sewage works are yet under way. Moreover, I gave instructions to install additional antennae for improved mobile connectivity before the new academic year starts,” Altay Kulginov wrote on his Instagram account.
Two public spaces construction will be finalized soon in Urker residential district.
“The locals will enjoy their own cozy community space. Moreover, a school for 2,000 students is to be built in Urker. Before the end of 2020, we will install ten sewage pumping stations and will have paved 8.5 kilometers of road,” Kulginov emphasized.
The capital has 16 residential areas total, where 280 thousand people – or a quarter of the city population - reside. Works are in progress across all of the residential areas. Head of state follows the issue of residential areas development personally.
