The campaign «Road to school» has started
From August 1 to September 30, Astana will host the annual large-scale Republican campaign «Road to school», the official website of the mayor's office of the capital reports. It is held on the initiative of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in pursuance of the instruction of the Head of state to ensure full attendance of schools.
The campaign will provide financial assistance to students from low-income, large families, orphans and children left without parental care during the preparation for the beginning of the school year, as well as prevention of non-attendance by children of schools for social reasons.
Within the framework of the campaign, the following events are planned:
- «First time in the first class»: giving gifts to first-graders from needy families;
- action «Good hands» for the installation of containers in large trading houses to receive things, school supplies to help low-income families;
- action «family helps Family: let's prepare children to school»;
In addition, in order to prevent non-attendance of children in school for social reasons on a regular basis carried out raids and the hotline works.
In schools № 27, 35, 59 (from 9:00 to 18:00) will operate public reception to provide advice to the population.
In August, school fairs will be held, where everyone will be able to purchase the necessary accessories.
It should be noted that at the end of the 2017/18 academic year in the framework of the campaign, 6 922 children were assisted for a total of 75.3 million tenge. Of these, 4270 students at the expense of sponsorship funds in the amount of 46.3 million tenge.
Over 10 years of the campaign in Astana, almost 56 thousand children received financial assistance totaling 510.3 million tenge. At the same time, sponsors and patrons provided assistance and support in the amount of 269 million 514 thousand tenge.
